Choose between 2 variations of Private Study to facilitate your needs and goals.
Work together with Hugh immersively for a One-on-one Intensive at a reserved time of your choice. This study option allows for a completely tailor-made learning experience, setting the ground for you to delve deeper into critical bonsai practice. Sessions can involve: seasonal maintenance, practical techniques, styling & design, or repotting.
Material: Take part in working on a scope of work with Hugh from the Tree Makers Garden and advance the scope of your skill set. Alternatively, bring a tree of your own that you want assistance with.
One-one-one
Students are offered support and critique as they work throughout the day. This workflow is more independent, and Hugh’s focus is to provide guidance and critique. This is the same level of attention you would receive by attending a class.
Material: We can provide you with a skill-appropriate tree from our garden to train your skills on, or alternatively, bring a tree of your own that you want guidance with.
